Sorry if this has been asked before, just joined the list. I've built and installed both xgl and x11 xmame0.37b13.1 on RH7.0 with GF2. Everything is working fine except samples. I left the default install-dir as /usr/local/lib/xmame and this is where my global xmamerc, xmame-x11rc and xmame-xglrc live. I therefore decide to place the samples (zipped with correct names, straight from my dos mame) in /usr/local/lib/xmame/samples. I'm sure this worked with the 0.36rc3 binaries. xmame -ls reports all samples missing and the games play without them. Have I misinterpreted the location or can I specify it anywhere (It's not in xmamerc is it) My second problem is to do with 'vectorres'. I got the impression form the help that this dimension is meant to overide the scale, horizontalscale and verticalscale options for vector games. But when I use it the window size is the product of scale and vectorres (And in the case of the X11 renderer the pixels are the size defined by scale). Why would you want to pixeldouble a vector game? Why would you want scanlines on a vector game? other platforms disable them automatically for a vector game.
