used my wrong account to send this previously so this email may get through twice. sorry.

there is also the advancemame version of mame .62 out. at advancemame.sourceforge.net. i managed to get the binaries running (when i compiled it, i got seg faults), though I wasn't able to run area51. other (non-cojag) games worked. i didn't check the rom verification functionality.

Pete,

I used that same bin to verify the 62 sets.
What are you running on? I ran it using
Redhat 8.0 with no issues at all.

Hmm, did I miss the .62 sources somewhere along the line ? I;ve been
trying to verify the romset using the xmame.x11 binary that was
made available, but with little success. The binary as downloaded apears
to be ELF branded as SYSV - I am assuming it's actually a Linux binary so
I rebranded it as GNU/Linux, but both brandings give the same error:

./xmame.x11: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by ./xmame.x11)

Which rather stumps me...

-bat.

PS: sorry for the 24 hour downtime!
