I can confirm the block segfault.  Most likely it's some combination of 
flip-x/flip-y/swap-xy that I screwed up.  I'll look into that.

The OpenGL segfault is probably caused by blit_swapxy not being used by 
the glx code.  I'll see if I can figure out what's going on, though I'll 
have to work blindly since I don't have much luck running the xgl target.
