If the system uses catridges, you need to put the -cart option before the file
xmess snes -cart rock_roll_racing,zip
you might need to set the rom path too, with -rp /path/to/roms

It would take you years to read it if you could! Each system that mess emulates can use any rom image that was published for it. So if you wanted to, say, play NES games, you would need NES roms. There are over 800(too lazy to look up the exact #) released in the US. What you need to do is pick a system, then see if you can find PD roms for it.

Unlike xmame.x11 -listfull, xmess -listfull returns only the emulated systems, and if I issue a xmess snes -listfull, it returns only snes and description. I tryed too xmess -lgl, that returned the same as xmess -listfull. Did I missed sth in the help or there is no way to do it ?
