I have to use Windowed view to get "hoy2key" to work.
I have to use joy2key because while jscalibrator works with my joypad xmame doesn't seem to find the axis. This is confirmed my cat'ing /dev/js0 and moving the joypad axis. Have tried analog and not analog.

Show/don't show the cursor "Also tried -nocu -cursor and -nocursor with same results! Other options seem to act the same?
