These patchs (unix.mak.patch Makefile.patch) against 0.79.1 allow to compile in parllel mode with gnumake (-j x).
It can drastically reduce the compilation time on SMP or HT machine...

Thanks, I've included this for the next release. I just had to make a few little changes to prevent warnings about vector.o, but otherwise it works great. Even uniprocessor systems might benefit from -j 2, since not all compilation time is spent in the CPU.
