I compiled the .88 version but my card does not support 16bpp.. Is there a place to download an earlier version of the xmame source?? I think I need 36b14.1 ?? Or is there a plan to add the 8bpp back in for losers like me??
Oh, sorry about not answering your question in my previous response. There aren't any plans to add back 8bpp support since the core dropped it, but downsampling could be added if someone were enterprising enough to add it. Right now it doesn't look like it's going to happen, so your best bet is running an old version.
