I've been giving some thought to handing over the reins of the
project to someone else. I find myself a lot busier with work and
other pursuits lately, which means there's less time for xmame and
xmess. It's been five years, and perhaps it's time to inject some
new blood, to paraphrase a comment Hans made recently.
Would anyone be interested in taking over? Or do you know of anyone
who'd be interested? If so, I'll remain subscribed to this list and
offer whatever assistance I can to the new maintainer, as well as
providing patches and the like.

P.S. Speaking of new blood, Richard Krone has offered to help write
and maintain the website and documentation, the latter having been
neglected for a long time. He's come up with some new logo and
website layout ideas as well.
