from my reading of http://webdav.org/specs/rfc2518.html#rfc.section.18 "DAV:" is an absolute URL, not a relative one. Or am I misunderstanding you and/or the note in the c14n spec? either way, it would be nice if the error reported explained the problem a bit better.
