This was a problem we work around, i don't know
if a new Helma XmlRpc version has resolved it.
See for example
xmlBlaster/src/java/org/xmlBlaster/protocol/xmlrpc/AuthenticateImpl.java
where the ConnectReturnQos is manipulated.
