I think we have introduced a state transition which is not 'clean' with 
the last 'fix' we have applied,
we'll look at it,

2) A whole raft of NullPointer exceptions.

   As soon as we see one of these, we'll keep getting more until we stop
   and restart xmlblaster.  Up until then though, all is well.
