All- I need to add one more software company that has fully enabled an XML-EDI Transformer. Netfish Technologies of Santa Clara has the following functionality which I have architected and developed: 1). Outbound Transformer This component transforms XML-EDI formatted documents into EDI-X12 documents. The user is allowed to create data maps at design time which adhere to X12 standards using an XML based Mapping tool called the XDI Mapper. This mapper is an any to any mapper and is very powerful. The transformer applies all interchange header and trailer information to the X12 data and prepares the data for transmission to the VAN. 2). Communications Controller This component is a Java based communications tool which picks up the transformed data and sends it to the VAN. We have wrapped our controller around CLEO and Interface Systems' CLEO handles the actual handshaking with the VAN. 3). Inbound Transformer This component takes inbound data from the VAN in X12 format and performs lexical analysis on the data and then transforms the data into our EDI-XML format. 4). DTD We have created individual DTD's for each X12 4010 document. These DTD's are the basis of my above mentioned EDI-XML formatted data. The beauty of Netfish is that the technology allows for true any-to-any data mapping and can be used to support many B2B protocols including EDI, RosettaNet, Biztalk, etc. The Netfish solution also has powerful ERP adapters that connect the transformers to Oracle, BAAN, and SAP. I encourage you all to review the Netfish solution and I am happy to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Please see the Netfish website or feel free to contact me.
