Part of the e-Speak syndrome appears to be overpromising results, 
especially the idea of anything-to-anything compatibility.  One needs to 
find a level that makes it feasible to fit with most of the current work 
going on, but not dumb it down to a lowest common denominator. So far at 
least, ebXML seems to be following this approach.
