Oh, no, I understand what you were saying... sorry if you
misinterpreted what I replied with.  I've recieved some interesting
personal email that people are too childish to send to the group, so

Actually, Brian, you should probably read what I wrote.  I was
*defending*
both the English and the CS department; though probably most heavily
the
CS dept, since the guy directed the attack at you, English dept or
not. I
was a double major, btw, both English and Bio, and am pretty sure
that,
although the WU Bio dept (grad school, mostly) + Medical school
brings in
the lion's share of the endowment for the University -- and obviously
gets
better toys, whenever they want -- ranking wise it goes English (top
10,
like 5 or 6 when I was there) > Bio (top 15) > CS (top 20, i
believe).

It's obviously apples & oranges, obviously.

And, when you're posting to the list, try spellchecking before-hand
so we
can keep our Alma Mater's appearance untarnished ;)

What do you do over there, anyway?  Student, faculty, grad student?
