Actually, Java is a compilable language.  Anyway, I wasn't aware that you
could do that with Python.  I've understood otherwise.  Thanks for the info,
I'll check it out.

Huh?  Java isn't a compiled languae either, you know.  Anyway, One can use
the
"freeze" command to "compile" Python code into an executable.

And if you must have Java byte-code, there's always JPython.
