For what its worth..I agree with Matt and have to say all the banter has created so much message traffic in the recent months there are many days when I just deltete everything coming from this list...whereas a year ago I read every message and oft times participated in the dialogue.... This list is no diffrent from other technical lists. Most of us listen in on many lists, and rely on the common sense of others to send mesages to the appropriate lists. Many of us are interested in XML/edi discussions, and feel that job postings and advertising are just clutter. There are avenues on the internet for recruiting and contract posting, and if people want that sort of stuff they can seek that out. XML adoption rates have nothing to do with Webber getting tough on trolls*, nor does it serve as a factor in choosing whether or not to implement more VANS as oposed to internet/xml. Use your common sense, people. This list is in a valuable niche, and I would be happy to set up an unmoderated list for issues not 100% relevant if it helps to retain an easy to find resource of XML and EDI experts. The people we want to hang out on this list, the people we can learn from, are the ones that get ticked off by useless or off-topic banter. Cheers, Matt MacKenzie XML Global * A troll is a person who sends off-topic messages, flames other users, and/or is a nuisance to the service administrator/users. > -----Original Message----- > From: System_Administration > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, September 08, 2000 7:58 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: JOBS > > > This is why we do not have the XML adoption rates that we could.
