Having just purchased and read (almost all of it!) Benoit Marchal's
book XML by Example, I can highly recommend it. It is especially
useful to EDI professionals trying to learn about XML since his
perspective is not solely from an electronic publishing paradigm.
I accidentally found his book on the shelf at Office Depot!!!

Xml for Edi : Making E-Commerce a Reality

John,
Hussain has been a long standing member and participant
on the XML/edi Group.
Not seen the book - but I'm sure he will have made some
interesting reading.
Another couple of books by members of the group include
the two by Benoit Marchal - Ben's books are more hands on
with Java and XML focused.
