Thanks to Alan Kotok for explaining DISA's role in standards at Monday night's XML community meeting in San Jose. Alan also contributed to an article about the meeting that is currently running on XML.COM: http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2000/11/devcon/standards.html My take on this is that many people who are most concerned about XML's future attended the meeting, but those influential community leaders don't see ISO standardization as being important for XML. On the other hand, those who have expressed an interest in ISO standardization are sitting on the sidelines. Result: little or no change in the status quo. ------ XML/edi Group Discussion List ------ Homepage = http://www.XMLedi-Group.org Unsubscribe = send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Leave the subject and body of the message blank Questions/requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To receive only one message per day (digest format) send the following message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], (leave the subject line blank) digest xmledi-group your-email-address To join the XML/edi Group complete the form located at: http://www.xmledi-group.org/xmledigroup/mail1.htm
