We here at Kleinschmidt have been sending/receiving data to/from EDIINT
compliant products for some time. Many companies that don't want to manage
multiple communication methods, buy multiple software products, and staff
for 24 x 7 x 365 operations outsource their communications to companies like
ours. We manage that process for them based on their requirements and
handle those headaches. In addition, we move data via the internet using
other protocols.
In addition we are doing a lot of translation to/from XML. This is both
using X12 or UN/EDIFACT as the other side of the equation or various
proprietary files. Again, eliminates the need to purchase software, perform
the mapping function and handle the multiple versions of XML Schema's or
DTD's.
