MQSeries is implementing a set of std. communication protocols addressing "message and queing" requirements of functionality. Yes, it can be used for EDI transfer. You have to add electronic signatures and all that stuff secureing the transaction, of course. Any product/program implementing mentioned std. protocols should be able to talk with MQSeries.
