This is good and bad news. While this was putting people under the gun and providing impetuous to use XML/edi technologies - now with this breathing space - gives chance for technologies themselves to mature. Particularly for ebXML to be established as the preferred medium to enable compliance. There is certainly good work being done on all aspects of this and personal privacy right now.
