Betty, The tpaML work was originally done by Marty Sachs and company at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center. IBM clearly had an investment there. But the subsequent work on CPA/CPP was done by a team that included non-IBM members.
This seems similar to Sun and the J2EE licensing controversy. Other parties (including IBM) contributed to the design and programming for J2EE, but were subsequently asked to pay by Sun to pay licensing fees. ------ XML/edi Group Discussion List ------ Homepage = http://www.XMLedi-Group.org Unsubscribe = send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Leave the subject and body of the message blank Questions/requests: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To receive only one message per day (digest format) send the following message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], (leave the subject line blank) digest xmledi-group your-email-address To join the XML/edi Group complete the form located at: http://www.xmledi-group.org/xmledigroup/mail1.htm
