Hi Mike,Dick and all,
Count me in. I spent several years in the Oil & Gas EDI marketplace in the
Middle East providing consulting services for oil majors in the
Upstream and downstream. I was, as part of GEIS operations, building
electronic trading communities and had an opportunity to see
a joint-industry practice as a possibility while working with over 30
accounts in the region.
I am presently working for Pinnacle Systems, Inc, a New Jersey based
E-Business Solutions provider providing
comprehensive B2B and B2C services for vertical industries.
As EDI in the Middle East is in its infancy, it is a good candidate for
Internet EC. Further, with the challenges for International business
document
exchange, Internet is sure to become a "defacto" for supply chain
optimization. Internet EC and our present work with XML in the industry
in areas of MRO procurement will be interesting topics to share and learn
from, in this forum.
Shan.
