That's true, but you loose most of the benefits of using subversion when you use it through WebDav (you have a commit per change as opposed to a grouped transaction, you can't include a log message, ... see http://svnbook.red-bean.com/nightly/en/svn.webdav.svn-and-deltav.html for more details)...
