Sure. Macro-recording is almost unusable without key bindings. Please download and install the add-on called "A sample customize.xxe" using "Options|Install Addons". This sample customize.xxe contains a lot of very useful commands and bindings; among them: Esc 'm' = starts or stops macro-recording. Esc 'M' (that is, Esc Shift-M) = cancels macro-recording. Esc 'p' = play last recorded macro.
