The CALS tables normally used by DocBook are inherently (very) hard to use. If you want to align several entries, the best way to do so is to specify an align or valign attribute on a row or on a colspec. The problem is that few persons know what is a colspec. * (Not yet released) V3.2 has a more powerful table editor which allows to insert, delete, copy, cut, paste, rows and columns and which allows to increment and decrement the column span and the row span of a cell (AKA merge and split). * Your request is a reasonable one. We'll add it to the wish list and there is a good chance we'll implement it. In fact, we have already done that as part of a *contract* for a customer (see attached screen shot). > I am trying to convince other collegues about the > benefits of Docbook but they ussualy complain > about leaving features like the one mentioned. In our experience, you cannot convince people using words. Just show them that you can do it better and faster than they do. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
