As far as I can tell, the following bug only exists on OS X. I was
unable to reproduce it on a Linux machine, although I was also only able
to test it on one OS X machine. This may mean that it is Java-specific,
and not particularly related to XXE. But I thought I should bring it up
anyway.
I have discovered an interesting caret positioning glitch with a
particular pane layout on OS X. When the Edit tool is positioned at the
top, and either the Search tool or the Characters tool is positioned at
the bottom, the caret automatically jumps from the Edit tool to the
tool at the bottom after using the Edit tool. For example, after
creating a new DocBook document, add a new `para` after the `para`
already in the document. The caret moves into first input field in the
Search or Characters tool instead of the new `para`, so that typing
after inserting the new element places the typed text into the input
field, unless you explicitly leave the tool with the Escape button or
with the mouse.
This is clearly not a severe bug, but it can be annoying. :)
Take care,
John L. Clark
