Hi all, users and support team at XMLMind.

I am currently evaluating XXE for deployment at a client that requires
advanced editing assistance.

In order to normalize documents contents, it has been decided to
maintain a dictionary of typical sentences, used at specific places. For
example, when describing an engine, a sentence like this could be inserted:
"This engine consists of *4* cylinders, and *8* valves."

In this example, the *numbers* are parameters provided by the writer at
writing time. So the dictionary (XML for easy maintenance) would contain
something like this:
<element id="eng-char">
  <sentence>This engine consists of <param/> cylinders, and <param/>
valves.</sentence>
...
...
<element>

So when the user selects the <phrase role="eng-char"> element in XXE, it
is presented with a form (or equivalent) where he can choose the
sentence in a list, and fill parameters.

Did some of you already implemented something similar?
Is this something that is reasonably easy to do with XXE?

Thanks for your feedback,

Camille.
