I cannot reproduce this problem on any of our Linux/Windows/Mac computers. Moreover, I don't see what we have done in v3.3 which could have caused this. If you have turned "Text Anti-Aliasing" on (Options|Options, General section) on a ``slow'' machine (e.g. my PIV 2.2GHz Linux box 512MB RAM with an old NVidia GoForce graphics card), I would just suggest to turn it off.
