In my knowledge (but I may be wrong), this is not possible because it does *not* work this way. * The Search component is *not* embedded in the online help document[*], it is part of the ``system'' help application/help window (i.e. JavaHelp browser by Sun, WinHelp by Microsoft, etc). * If you want to enable, the ``Search component'' in the ``system'' help application/help window, you need to *index*, using a third-party tool, the online help pages which are to be loaded in the help engine. *JavaHelp* example: [1] I create my online help in DocBook or in DITA. [2] I convert these DocBook or DITA documents to JavaHelp using the proper XSLT style sheets. [3] I index the JavaHelp generated by the XSLT style sheets using Sun's jhindexer (part of the JavaHelp toolkit) [4] I package the JavaHelp pages + the index in a .jar file. [5] I deploy this .jar file. [6] The Search pane in Sun's JavaHelp browser is enabled and works (more or less) fine. See attached screenshot. --- [*] You can do that in an HTML page, but I've never seen this in an online help. --- PS: Please note that your question is not specific to the use of XMLmind XML Editor. In principle, we are not supposed to answer it. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
