This sounds way cool. I can't wait. XMLEditor's customization
abilities are one of its strengths, and anything to ease the
customization process is desirable.

It depends on your notion of simplicity, I guess. To me, the line
<!DOCTYPE ris SYSTEM "risx.dtd">
in the document instance is about as simple as you can get. :-)
However, it's on my to-do list to rethink this. The problem is I want
to end up with a configuration that works outside the XXE environment
as well as within it, and I'm not sure how to do that.
