In theory, XMLmind XML Editor could work with a Java[tm] 1.4.0 runtime. In practice, this very old version has severe bugs which have been fixed in newer versions. We recommend to: * Keep your Java 1.4.0 for other application. Do no uninstall it. * Download and install xxe-std-3_1_0-setup.exe. Its private Java runtime is, well, really private to XMLmind XML Editor. You can check which version of Java is actually used by starting XMLmind XML Editor and using "Help|About XMLmind XML Editor".
