I'll try to explain what happens by showing screen shots (see attachments): [1] I've installed XXE Standard Edition, downloaded and installed xep_foprocessor-3_2_0.zip using "Options|Install Add-ons" (not manually please) restarted XXE to be able to used the newly installed XEP FO processort plug-in. [2] Using "Help|Plug-ins". I can see this (help_plugins.png): --- RenderX XEP, converts XSL-FO to PDF or to PostScript?. See http://www.renderx.com/. [[[Please run the plug-in by converting a document to PDF or to PostScript[tm] in order to finish its installation.]]] --- [3] I open doc/userguide/userguide.xml and attempt to convert it to PDF using "DocBook|Convert|Convert to PDF". *Two" dialog boxes are displayed (If you just see one, on Linux, there is a problem with your Window Manager: the second box is hidden below the first box): [a] One dialog box (error.png) says: "The installation of the plug-in is not finished. Now you need to specify to the plug-in where you have installed RenderX XEP". [b] The other dialog box (prompt.png) prompts you for the directory where you have installed RenderX XEP. [4] Click OK on the error dialog box and restart XXE as this has been recommended by an alert dialog box. [5] Use "Help|Plug-ins". Now I can see this (help_plugins2.png): --- RenderX XEP, converts XSL-FO to PDF or to PostScript?. See http://www.renderx.com/. RenderX XEP personal stamp, licensed to Hussein Shafie hussein at pixware.fr Pixware, issued on 2005-06-15. --- Now, the most important for you: unless you have pointed XXE Standard Edition to a copy of RenderX XEP *Personal* Edition or *Trial* Edition, you'll not be able to use RenderX XEP within XXE. Only XXE Profession Edition supports the other RenderX XEP products: Academic edition, Desktop Edition, etc. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/stdedition.html --- PS: This kind of question should be sent to xmleditor-support and not to xmleditor-info. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
