It is possible to create modular documents for all document types. It just not recommended to do so for document types which have their own inclusion mechanism: W3C XML Schema (include,import,redefine), DITA (conref), etc. > I can make inclusions but when I try to reopen the document I get an > error message stating it could not find the element in the target file > (using ID). You have found a bug. It will be fixed in next release. This bug occurs only with modular documents conforming to a RELAX NG schema. The workaround is to save such documents without any indentation (i.e. Turn option "Indent" off in Options|Options, Save section or, better, use a <saveOptions> configuration element to specify this).
