Thanks for the quick reply.

Only note: the buggy behaviour with inserting text was happening when inserting 
text not at the end of the document, but in the middle of an existing document.

I am waiting eagerly for version 3.

PS: I use the node view to get myself more acquainted with docbook, since I 
started using it without spending any time to document myself about existing 
tags and their intended usage...
