Yes, this is right. *Sorry, I really didn't understand your question*. I thought that you were talking about the spreadsheet engine which is internal to our editor. I simply forgot that for everbody (except me) spreadsheet means Excel. Currently, selecting any rectangular area of cells in Excel and pasting it into an XML table is *absolutely not possible*. However, this should be technically possible. Therefore I'll record this as a feature request in our User's Wish List. Note that, if this feature is implemented in the future, it will just paste character data and not the spreadsheet formulas and/or the formatting of the cells.
