I agree that most users won't need detailed information about the 
subtleties of RegExp syntax. However, I would suggest including your 
above paragraph starting with "XXE uses..." and the link in XXE's 
documentation at the appropriate place, so that those who want to know 
more can refer to this page.

This is great news! I am looking forward to XXE V. 2.11, trying to keep 
up with XXE's fast development pace - XXE is already such a wonderful 
and powerful tool that I find it surprising that you still can imagine 
ways to constantly enhance it. (Watch out, XXE might even grow MUA 
features one day... ;-))
