It would be very useful if an element template in a configuration could specify a command to be triggered whenever that template is invoked.
For example, I have elements which have an attribute containing their creation date. I also have a macro which calls an external shell command to generate the current date in the required format and places the result in the attribute. It would be nice to have the macro triggered automatically whenever a new element is created using the template. I note that the current wish list on line has invocation of commands on open and save, but not on template invocation. Philip Nye
