Hi Hussein, Thanks for your reply. It's a bit of a mystery... If the XXE installer (InnoSetup) isn't adding an XXE entry to the Windows registry, then I can't imagine what other application would cause this. I will note that it's not always been easy to make the proper "open with" association between XML files and various versions of XXE. For some XXE versions, I've also needed to modify the target of the desktop shortcut icon, even though I've always installed XXE in the default directory. These problems all seem to be related. In any event, it's not a big deal, as Leslie Chapman was kind enough to inform XXE users how to work around this installation bug. But the fact remains that at least two different people, working at two different organizations, have experienced this problem with XXE 2.10 and 2.11. It would be nice (but not crucial) to know what's causing this odd little problem.
