Currently no. But please be patient, I think that all Java GUI components will use text anti-aliasing (I don't know if this is what you mean by font smoothing) really soon now and once this will be the case, we'll do it too for our own components. For now, we have done this only on the Mac (only with latest Java runtime) where all GUI components using the Aqua Look and Feel are anti-aliased.
