Hi Mike,

I recommend using UpCast, which creates RTF from Word-documents, then
converts them to DocBook XML using some stylesheets. After that a custom
made XSL-stylesheet is applied inside UpCast which processed the DocBook XML
even further since it was quite ugly.

I can get you in touch with the consultant helping us create the custom
stylesheet if you decide on using UpCast. Without that stylesheet we'd have
a lot of things to do by hand.

He also helped us customize our PDF and CHM-files to fit our corporate
profile.
