This looks like a Java bug. XXE simply paints its pages to the printer. We have no control on the fonts used by the ``Java printer''. I suggest to try next version XXE V2.8p1 with Java 1.5. Sun seems to have fixed many bugs in this version, plus we have fixed a severe font metrics problem when printing (bug fix only works with Java 1.5). In other terms, even if Czech characters were there, you would have been disappointed with XXE V2.8/Java 1.4.2 anyhow. But things should be greatly improved with XXE V2.8p1/Java 1.5. XXE V2.8p1 should be released before the end of this month.
