You're right, it looks like Eudora included the contents of the
attachment inline. You could copy and paste the XML at the bottom of
the original email into a file within the directory that Mr. Shafie
mentions. He used the filename "mydocbook.xxe", but you can call it
anything that has a ".xxe" extension[0]. Alternatively, you can
download the attachment directly using the mailing list archives
interface[1] and save it to the same location.
