Yes, Example:

[1] Use File|New... and choose HTML page.

[2] Click on the <p> place holder.

[3] Right-click and choose "Insert..."

[4] Choose img the list in the right pane.

[5] Use your favorite ``File Explorer'' and drag an image in the ``image 
placeholder icon'', then click OK when a dialog box is displayed.

What has been done here for XHTML, has also been done for DocBook, 
Slides, etc, and can be *very easily* done (3 lines in a CSS style 
sheet) for your custom DTD or Schema.

Now the bad news, as of V2.5, XXE can only display images in the GIF, 
JPEG or PNG formats. Other formats will be displayed as the ``image 
placeholder icon''.

Note that having the image placeholder icon is not an error or a big 
problem because, even if XXE cannot display the image, may be the XSL-FO 
processor used to translate XML to other formats such as PDF or RTF can 
properly render the image.
