The style sheet processor used by XXE is Michael Kay's Saxon 6.5.2 and 
the XML parser is James Clark's XT (see 
http://www.xmlmind.com/xpforjaxp.html ). With this combination, 
XIncludes are not expanded.

A macro-command containing a process-command and command "XXE.open" with 
parameter "%D" (see 
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/docs/poweruser/ar01s05s52.html 
) can be used to replace the document being edited after transforming 
it. Not very nice and smooth but it works.

Please confirm that you are *really* interested in having these small 
enhancements in next release (XXE V2.5p2, next week).
