Hi, I find that the JavE ascii art editor (www.jave.de), at least on MacOS, puts things into the clipboard using CR, not LF, line seperators. Everything that I've tried pasting into (Terminal, TextEdit, Safari, Word) accepts the paste as separate lines - except xxe; xxe inserts literal CRs into the document (in an xml:space=preserve element).
I don't know exactly what's going on behind the scenes; would it be possible to modify xxe to translate the different line ending characters when pasting from another app? Thanks, Bill
