Hi All

I am testing a work environment whereby Windows machines will save
files on a MacOSX server via "Windows File Sharing" (which is based on
Samba).

I make a new document on the PC, and save it (from XXE) to the shared
volume.

When I try to open the document again, XXE says 'file
"\gordon\Documents\test.xml" is read-only.'.

If I check the unix privs in MacOSX, the user has full read/write
access to the file.
If I check the 'properties' of the file in Windows, it is not marked as
read-only.

When I edit and save the file, XXE throws up the 'Save As ...' dialog
box, but allows me to overwrite the existing file with the same name.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any suggestions

regards Jeremy
