192.168.0.6:8080/webdav is not a valid host. XXE checks the whole URL rather than each individual field of the dialog box. We'll try to fix this minor bug in V2.5 (it is too late for V2.4p1). > MacOSX and WinXP. > > But then even if I get the path correct I am warned that I won't be able > to save because I am using standard edition .... Yes, you need Professional Edition in order to be able to save to a WebDAV or FTP location (without having to mount anything as you described it below). This is clearly stated on our web site. > Alternatively, if I try to open as 'file' via a 'mounted' webdav repo in > 'My Network Places', no files are shown for editing, even though if I > try the same thing in NotePad, all files are visible. > > This is only a problem on Windows, opening and saving files to a mounted > webdav repo on MacOSX works as expected. I have reproduced this problem using XXE and using Sun's demo application SwingSet2. Therefore, I think it is a ``Java on Windows'' bug rather than an XXE bug and there is not much I can do in this case.
