We love to hear about suggestions. We fully accept criticisms. Even
something like ''I've played with XXE and trashed it after 5 minutes
because it is is completely unusable''.

We are currently working hard to release XXE V2.5:

* with more comprehensive developer documentation (more examples about
how to write custom commands, how to write custom views, style
extension, etc)

* and more powerful macro-commands. Contextual macro-commands among
other things. For example: with the proper contextual macro-command,
hitting key Enter will not trigger the same command inside a
<listitem>/<para> and inside a <section>/<para>.)

With this release, power users like you will be able to do (almost) what
they want with XXE.

This is done on purpose. We don't find that it is a good idea to insert
an itemizedlist inside a para (even if it is allowed by the DTD and
fully supported by XXE).

Frankly, it is pretty hard for us to help you about this problem.
