We are aware that XXE is not user-friendly for editing xml:space="preserve" elements. The explanation is: [1] We have not focused our development effort on xml:space="preserve" elements. [2] What you request is not easy to implement, XXE being very very different from a text editor or a word processor. However we are committed to remove all these small annoyances one after the other, but it will take time.
